Beyblade is not just a top invented like that but is said to be a new generation spining top as earlier there were tops called Bey-Gomas which later evolved as Beyblades. There were frequent bayblade mangas release and the ones which were loved the most were made into TV Show called beyblade.
The similarity Between Bey-Gomas and Beyblades is the they both spin though the both of them have a total different style. The beyblades are usually divided into 4 layers Which consists of an Attack Ring,Weight Disk, Spin Gear and Blade base as for Bey-Gomas there are no such parts as that. Bey-Gomas were ripped with small thin ropes as for beyblades, Ripcord and launchers are used. And the majour difference is that the beyblades can be customized and can be switched with other beyblade parts and Bey-Gomas couldnt be customized.
